Year 10 students take part in National Computer Science Competition
Posted on: 23/05/2025Earlier this week, the three Year 10 students, Nicole Chan, Erin Linsley and Bahar Celep, took part in the National Computer Science competition at Birmingham City University today.
The fantastic news is that they all made it to the last 6 schools in the UK competition, and to top it all Nicole won the first prize for the individual innovation competition with her air monitoring unit.
The judges said Nicole's presentation was "excellent" and her air monitoring unit was very impressive.
In addition, although Erin and Bahar did not win the group contest prize, the judges came over to talk to them both to say how impressed they were with their presentations and handled the judges questions so confidently.
It was a very interesting day, and we all got to look over some of the University's first year students' computer innovations and designs.
